Felt Gaming may be the new kid on the block, but already many players are loving their fun, modern take on the online gaming interface. Like other names in their portfolio, the "table" of 3 Card Hold'em does not resemble the traditional casino setting. It's a dusty red, with crisp text, discreet controls, and clear directions.
As you can guess from the title, 3 Card Hold'em is an exciting combination of three-card stud and Texas Hold'em poker. You are playing against the dealer, with three pocket cards (which are just for your eyes) and two up cards (which both you and the dealer use in combination with your pocket cards when considering betting strategy).
It is deceptively simple, and requires a decent amount of skill from the player to play 3 Card Hold'em. Also, it should be noted that there are two bonus possibilities per hand.
The first bonus is for paired or suited cards. This bonus is triggered by the right combination in your pocket cards only. Payouts range from 1:1 for any two cards of the same suit to 50:1 for an ace of spades matched with a king of spades.
The second bonus is for getting a straight or better. Unlike the first bonus, this takes into account the three cards showing and the two in your pocket.
As for the payouts, they depend on the card combination. Straight (five consecutive cards of any suit) – 2:1. Three of a kind (three matching cards of any suit) - 4:1. Straight flush (five consecutive cards of the same suit) - 6:1. A, K, Q of the same suit - 25:1, and A, K, Q of the same suit + any pair - 100:1.
