Casino Stud Poker is the game for people who are willing to move on from Texas Hold 'Em. A much more traditional game of poker, it requires you to play your own hand against the dealer's cards. There are no shared cards, which makes this a much more direct poker variant.
At the start of the game, the player must place an ante of one to 100 credits. Then the dealer is dealt four cards face down and one card face up. The player can see all of his cards.
The player then must choose to fold – and forfeit his ante – or place a bet equivalent to twice the ante he placed. Once that happens, the dealer turns over his cards. Should the dealer have at least an ace and king high, the two players compare their cards.
If the dealer has the better combination they win. If the player has the better combination he or she wins. What the player wins depends on the hand they have. A pair will pay 1 to 1. A royal flush will pay 100 to 1.
In addition, at the start of the game the player can decide whether or not they want to play in the progressive jackpot. This costs a simple one credit to enter into. Once again, when the player has his or her cards, the winner is decided. A flush pays out 50 credits. A straight flush pays out 10 percent of what the progressive jackpot has become. A royal flush pays out the entire jackpot.
Casino Stud Poker is a very straightforward way of playing poker. It combines all the skills you may have learned from Texas Hold 'Em and takes them to another level. If you are a real poker fan, this is the game for you.
