Fairy Gate, by the software developers and designers at Quickspin, is a video slot game that will transport you into the fanciful world of these ethereal beings. And who knows, maybe some of their legendary magic will rub off on you.
The five-reel, three-row playing field is in a golden frame set against a background of the Fairy Gate, an ornately designed door set into a tree in the forest. The door opens at random times, which triggers two more reels to be added to the grid along with symbols that feature multiple winged fairies.
The game's symbols include four spritely fairies, their portraits also framed in gold; and high-value cards (J, Q, K, A) in an intricate design. Wild cards are burnished gold, while the Bonus symbol features a winged fairy that bears more than a passing resemblance to the most famous of them all, Tinkerbell. We especially love that the fairies are drawn to seem magical, and not sexy.
There are 20 pay lines during regular gameplay. Three Bonus fairies wins you 10 free spins, along with the two extra reels. Wilds will help the player make a winning combination, but no other features are triggered with a Wild.
For all of its intricate designs, Fairy Gate does two things very clearly. First, there is the win screen.
