At the top of the screen is the outdoor Tiki bar, which is overseen by a fun animated bartender. Which brings us to the grid itself. Like many other recent online games that have been released recently, Fruit Blast owes more to Candy Crush and Bejeweled than standard, old-school slots that you'd find in a real casino. Instead of reels, rows and pay lines, it has a five-by-five grid with a chain reaction style gameplay.

This means that the symbols – including cherries, watermelon, lemons, pineapples and more – drop from the top, and you only have to match three adjacent symbols to win. Once the match is made, they're taken off the board and replaced by the blocks above them, and more blocks drop from the top.

And it's not passive play. You choose which combination you want to "blast," so there's a bit of skill involved. As you level up by collecting stars, you'll unlock achievements like Cherry Sours and Master Blaster, and as many as eight bonus features.
