Grim Muerto is a retro game with next generation features based on the Mexican Day of the Dead festival. As you would imagine, this involves people dressed in skeleton outfits playing as mariachis, the Book of the Dead and other scary symbols. The game features a bunch of re-spins and wilds and is a fantastic playing experience any day of the year.
You have five reels, three rows and 20 total pay lines. The minimum bet per spin is .20 credits. The maximum per spin is 100 credits.
Symbols include ten, jack, queen, king, ace; four different skeleton mariachis, the Book of the Dead, a guitar and a Sugar Skull. One of the reels is highlighted on each spin. Get the wild guitar on this reel, and it will expand and cover the entire reel as one huge wild.
The skull is the scatter. Get three of them on the reels and you'll get ten free spins. During the re-spins a second scatter – a candle skull – will appear. One will give you an extra free spin. Three will give you another ten free spins.
Finally, if you only get two scatters you earn a chance to win anyway. At that point, the four mariachis become large. You have to pick one. One will be the third scatter and give you the ten re-spins. Two of them will give you credits. The fourth is a bust and delivers nothing at all.
All in all, Grim Muerto delivers all the Day of the Dead action you could possibly be looking for. It looks scary at first but it's honestly not. The holiday is meant to honor our ancestors. This game is fun and silly and the re-spins give you a ton of action.
