Jewel Quest Riches is more akin to Bejeweled or Candy Crush than a traditional slot machine. The playing field is a five-by-five grid, and there is no reel-like action. Instead, the 3D gem stones in rich jewel-toned colors drop from the top.
Also, unlike slots, there are no pay lines or weird combinations you have to get in order to win. You simply need to match three adjacent gem stones to win. But even then, the "spin" isn't over. When there are three matching gems, they disappear, the remaining jewels drop down, and the empty spaces are replaced by new jewels from the top.
This gives the player plenty of chances to win per spin, as it's only when there are no more matches that you spin again. And each time you match during a spin, you trigger a multiplier up to 13x.
