The first thing we want to say about Reel Outlaws is not a feature or a bonus, but a warning – after the initial music plays for this game, there is the ambient sound of crickets. You do not have a cricket in your house. It's the game. We're speaking from experience here!

That being said, let's move onto the details of Reel Outlaws, which is a super fun video slot from Betsoft. The game features five rows and three reels set on the front porch of a clapboard shop in the Old West. There are nine pay lines; you'll see them along the sides, each indicator showing the number of coins you have bet for each line (up to five).

All of the icons follow the theme and include cowboy boots, a ten-gallon hat, a pistol, whiskey bottles, Wanted posters, a sheriff's badge, cacti, a lucky seven, and an animal skull. We love an all-theme icon collection!

The stars are wild, and can substitute for anything you need to make a win except scatter and bonus symbols. The scatter symbols are sticks of dynamite, and you'll need three or more to trigger them (but they don't need to be on an active pay line).

A bonus game is triggered when the Reel Outlaws log is on an active pay line. You're taken to a new screen where you shoot bottles of whiskey, earning a prize for each one you hit. You do this until one says “collect,” and then go back to the main game.

The minimum bet is .02 credits and the maximum is 45 credits per spin. All bets pay left to right, and all line pays are multiplied by the number of credits per pay line.
