The Tipsy Tourist

While we're not usually fans of cut scenes in our games, we have to admit we were charmed by the opening story of The Tipsy Tourist, by Betsoft. Pixar has clearly had an influence on the designers, and we all come out winners.

We see a beleaguered office worker in his cubicle on what could only be a Monday. When a towering pile of documents lands on his desk, he takes temporary refuge in the breakroom. As he's getting his umpteenth cup of coffee, he sees a flyer for the "Trip Of A Lifetime" to Miami. And then, boom – he's on a plane, and with a quick little spinning jig he's in vacation clothes and off in a taxi to his day in the sun.

This is when The Tipsy Tourist slot game begins. You've got five reels and three rows, with 20 pay lines. Set each betting unit from .02 to 100, and you can place up to five bets per spin.

Your office drone guy hangs out on the left of the (very busy-looking) screen, in front of a background of sea, sun and surf. Playing card symbols (10-J-Q-K-A) plus a boarding pass, seashells, and more come up during each spin. Features include:

Wild Beach – These are the wild symbols, and can help you make winning combinations. While you're in Free Spin mode, wilds that appear stay on the reels for more ways to win.

Free Spins – When beach ball symbols appear in the third, fourth and fifth reels, you get eight free spins. These spins can in turn be re-triggered.

Drinking Bonus – Red cups on the first, second or third reel triggers the Drinking Bonus, which is a 50/50 heads-or-tails coin toss. But you're not playing against the game; your new vacation friend joins you. The loser of each toss has to drink, with three drinks signaling the end of the game. The winner gets a special reward.
